I am the artist. My name is Krista. I've always
been an artist. I remember experimenting with different hands -
which one could old the crayon best? As I was trying to entertain
myself during hour-long church meetings. I was so small I could
sit straight up underneath gray folding chairs in the back. Endless
talks, and given by volunteers, they were so boring you wanted to
drill your own head open to relieve the pressure. Especially to
someone really small, so I lived in my head. This is my house, this
is my mommy, this is my dog Hershey. This is me in my tiara and
my ballerina costume.
The product you see in the gallery
pages is part of my effort to fulfill my creative urges. Urges
isn't really a good word, its almost compulsory. My hands, now with
calluses and their own preferences for working, must be kept busy.
Please buy my stuff, my hands are itching for more material to turn
into more jewelry. Even now I have a ball of hemp calling me, whispering
secrets in my ear, and teasing me with possibility. But I need more
beads... enough. There's no more composition left in my head, its
all square knots, patterns and ... where is that order?
Oh, I was educated at Ventura College and
Cal State Long Beach where I recently got my bachelor's degree in
Illustration, which I hope to be including in new pieces. Check
back with me in the future. I never repeat myself, it's boring.
So constant updates are necessary. Chances are if you don't like
anything this time, next time I'll have just the thing. Or, visit
my Commission Request page and we'll
see if we can't work that out.
